Wolle
Aretz was born in Wiesbaden, Germany on 7th of August of 1962.
He grew up in Düsseldorf, where he graduated school in 1982 (Abitur/ Gymnasium)
and studied Anglistik and Romanistik at the University of Düsseldorf for 3 years.
From 1985 on he is working as Musician and Music-Teacher, playing drums and percussion.
At the end of the 80's he moved together with his wife to Gran Canaria,
where they are living on their "finca" in the mountains.
When he was 18 years old, the German Yoga-Teacher Manfred Paierhe introduced him into the techniques of Hatha-Yoga
and the wisdom of the Patanjali-Sutras and the Bhagavad-Gita.
He practices Yoga and Meditation eversince.
By the end of the 80s he has started studying the Antroposophie of Rudolf Steiner,
participated in seminars and visited centers of the Antroposophic Movement,
like the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland
and the Alanus- University in Alfter, Germany.
He introduced himself into the teachings of Ramana Maharshi and Krishnamurti.
Their way to bring the meditator to observe his mind
and to take consciousness of his emotional and mental conditioning
has an important influence on his practice.
In Buddhism he has found a similar approach,
integrated buddhist concepts and techniques of several schools in his life
and participated in seminars, held by Tibetan monks,
like Lama Chime Rimpoche, Sogyal Rimpoche
and by Soto-Zen Master Dokusho Villalba.
In 1996 he traveled to India.
In Dharamshala, the residence of the Dalai Lama,
he deepened his contact with Tibetan Buddhism
and got in contact with Reiki.
In Rishikesh he practiced Hatha-Yoga and Pranayama
in the Shivananda Ashram
and in Lucknow he meditated with Poonjaji,
the last living successor of Ramana Maharshi.
In the end of the 90s Wolle Aretz has received
the initiations in all Reiki levels (Usui Style)
through the German Reiki-Teacher Alfred Rogler.
Since 2000 he is giving regulary Reiki Seminars,
Meditation- and Yoga-Clases.
2003 he has traveled to Boston, USA
and studies with Larry Rosenberg
at the Insight Meditation Center in Cambridge.
Wolle Aretz shares his experience and knowledge in a way,
that the student, integrating the traditions and styles of his teachers,
can find his own individual path.
